It's been over a year since the last update! There's a lot to unpack. If there's something you find that isn't working for you please reach out and let us know! Rather, you see upcoming and remaining steps.

• Fixes a bug that would sometimes prevent setting the seconds for a brew step

• Improvements on how recipes are edited. Water changes are automatically accrued to the last brew step. • No more annoying clicking when adjusting water for each step. Steppers were removed in favor of typing the amounts directly with a keypad. • Increased the maximum brew time from 8:00 to 12:00.

NEW • Introducing dark mode! Requires iOS 13. Now you can enjoy making coffee in the evening for the nights you have to stay up. CHANGES • Removes the annoying slider when trying to change the time for a brew step. Just enter the minute and seconds directly!

CHANGES • Fixes a bug where the app crashes if you try to delete a step that you are about to add. • Brew timer names can now be up to 40 characters (20 characters previously). • Visual tweaks when timer is active to let you focus on the details that matter. • When editing a timer's step amount for water, a text field is now available. The slider was too sensitive to change. • The max amount of water for a single step increased from 400g of water to 800g. • When viewing a recipe, timer steps that are pausing are colored differently to help you tell them apart.

Make sure the ratio button is checked if you want to preserve the ratio. • Notifications when the timer is running in the background now tell you more information. The notification will have the total weight and step time. • Added the Kinu M47 grinder as a new grinder option! • You can now create timers from scratch! This should make it easier to create your very own custom recipes. Standard recipes are still available if you want references. CHANGES • New timer steps are now categorized into common categories like bloom, pour. Hopefully it makes it easier when creating a new timer from scratch so you don't have to keep entering common step types. • Fixed a bug when editing step amounts the total water amount would not reflect the accurate change. Thanks for the amazing feedback! NEW • Added back a way to fix ratio in the edit screen. Now when editing coffee you can enable a switch that will automatically update the water amount if you want to keep the ratio consistent. Any new water added from the ratio calculation will be tracked separately as "Unused Water". You should distribute this water among your brew steps to keep the recipe consistent. • Added a new sound effect: Filson. Check it out! CHANGES • Edit step amount increments are now 0.1 instead of 1.0 to give you finer granularity. • Fixes a bug where the history was not changing the coffee and water amount. Sorry about that! Thanks for the amazing feedback! NEW • Introducing history! Each time you brew using a timer, the app will save information about that session. You can also add notes and rate each history event. • Siphon and Moka Pot are now available as recipes. Timers are still disabled but you can still create recipes to track ratios. In order to support this, several edit flows were moved around. Hopefully the new flow is not confusing. See the "Changes" section for more information. • When editing a recipe's coffee amount, all timer steps are shown in one page making it easy to adjust steps. • When changing the water amount of a step, the total water amount for the recipe changes too so everything is consistent. • Added Breville as a new grinder option. CHANGES • Removed the preparation section in the recipe. The brew guides already have this information. • Removed servings information to reduce clutter and boil down to essentials. • Handground grinder now has more settings (0 to 16). • Fixed a small typo in the Bonmac brew guide. Made some tweaks to improve how timers behave when in the background! • Timers now notify you if you happen to reach a step while you're in a different app. Make sure to enable notifications when it asks! • Timers also will try to continue to run for as long as possible when in the background. This is nice cause time keeps on ticking! Don't rely on it though since the timer may pause if too much time passes. Try to switch back to Barista as soon as you can! • A long requested feature is finally here! Timers won't get terminated when the app runs in the background or when the notification center opens! The timer will now pause so you can resume when you return to the foreground. Keep in mind the timer doesn't continue to tick, it just pauses. Hope it makes your brewing session more enjoyable! • You can now hide preparation steps before brewing your recipe! Just go to "Settings" and click on the switch. Next time you click on your recipe you'll notice rows for preparation are hidden. You'll still see your brew steps but things like "boil water" are hidden. Cause, you know...you're a pro now. • Visual tweaks to the preparation screen.

• Fixed a bug where adding/editing a brew step only allowed a max of 400g of water. Now each step can add up to the recipe amount.
