This app was offered for free today but today only. I figured I’ll download it and I can dump it later if I don’t like it. So far, however it appears to be one of the most amazing apps available on the Apple platform. Every one of the features on this app appears to have a practical, useful application to every day life. My only criticism is directed toward the necessity of going back and separately downloading each of the pro features separately in order to get them for free. Probably a good reason for that so I can’t really be too picky. I write very few app reviews and the ones that I do write are usually critical and reflect my disappointment. After I use this app for a few weeks I’ll probably be motivated to go back and update this review. My first impression is very positive!

I downloaded this app when it was free, I actually appreciate apps like this, I use compasses often, the binoculars was a cool feature & having chronic illnesses the weather info & pedometer info is extremely helpful in keeping track of various things for me personally & for me & my dr. I did actually go through & read the reviews BEFORE downloading- even though an app is free doesn’t mean it’s worth my time. So I knew that I had to download ALL THE FEATURES separately- which took a minute but honestly was worth it! So now that Apple released their update Pro is gone & even when I tried restoring it said I didn’t have Pro. So well ok. A few other apps have done this, and I have gotten the same response- sorry but there isn’t anything we can do. Well then sorry I’m deleting your app. I don’t download every free app. I sincerely appreciate the developers offering it for free, being on a fixed income every penny counts, however when Apple releases an update & now several developers say now we are going to charge you for an app that we previously didn’t ALL AT ONCE that’s unfair to Apple customers & honestly is wrong because that isn’t our fault either. So while this is a good app, I can’t in good faith recommend the practices that are being used on customers. I support app developers 100% & understand they need the revenue to continue to keep apps updated & in good working order, but ITS ALSO EXTREMELY IMPORTANT & good business that issues like this are planned out, or fixed. Because when customers are not happy they don’t recommend apps to their friends etc. so maybe that’s on Apple or whoever. I just hope people don’t have to pay for this app a second time. Thank you.

The developer is brilliant! I was lucky enough to read about this app and downloaded it for free during a promotion. I fell in love with it in the first five minutes! So many functions in an easy to use app, with a simple and clean layout. And it really does interface with Fitbit, seamlessly. I am thrilled to finally have an app that will give me all the functions I need and want when hiking, including a safety button that will give my lat/long. I’ll say this - the pro features are worth the minor cost - it was not a disappointment like so many other apps can be when you ‘upgrade’ - go for it!

I have compared this app to others like it and “Altimeter” outshines.😉 By far outshines all similar apps. To be completely honest it did take getting through some frustration downloading the free upgrades (having to purchase each one separately and crashing each time you do so )but with its simplicity in style and functionality that magically looks and feels like anything but, you will bathe in all the satisfaction that is “Altimeter “ when all is said and done.
