I am really impressed with how easy it was to get my aging HAI system working in Homekit with this software. It was well worth the money, given how much many of us already have investied in the HAI system. My only compliant would be that the lights can turn off a bit slow if doing a batch of them, but other than that this software works great.

Once again Myro Controls delivers another great solution. Everything works as advertised and the developer provides great support. If you have a Leviton HAI Omni panel I strongly suggest you get Myro Home and Myro:Home Helper products.

For those of us who own a Leviton/HAI OmniPro or Lumina system, the disappearance of the Haiku product line was a huge blow. For years Haiku was the product that allowed us to get maximum utility from our OmniPro/Lumina system. When Haiku and Haiku Helper left the App Store, current users still had a product that mostly worked, but each new version of Mac OS and iOS created new problems that we had to work around. After relying on it for years for our push notifications, the thought of having to live without it was frightening.We now finally have a replacement for Haiku Helper (and we will soon have Myro:Home to replace Haiku on iOS… it’s almost done with beta testing)! Myro:Home Helper has been intentionally designed to have the familiar look and feel that we grew accustomed to in Haiku Helper. While this initial version doesn’t yet have all of the features of Haiku Helper (e.g. scripting), it does introduce some extremely nice new features that most OmniPro / Lumina users will find very compelling. The two biggest new features are powerful data (events) logging on the Mac, and integration with Apple’s HomeKit home automation system, including the ability to use Siri to control the OmniPro / Lumina system.As you might expect, the author of Myro:Home Helper is an OmniPro user himself, so he really understands what we need to realize maximum utility from our home automation system. The lack of a long term data logging feature in Haiku was always an annoying shortcoming in the product. Myro:Home Helper implements a powerful and flexible system for keeping logs of various events that occur on your OmniPro / Lumina. You can individually select which Zones/Units/Buttons/etc you want to log, and you can set a specific color for the log entry in the default log file, making it *much* easier to scan through the current session log entries to find specific types of events. And Push notifications now support custom text for the different conditions (Secure / Not Ready / On / Off / etc), plus you can select a specific alert sound for each item (Zones / Units / Flags) that you want to push to your iOS device as a notification!The HomeKit integration is probably the one new feature that in and of itself justifies purchasing this application even if you’re one of the lucky ones whose Haiku Helper is still running. Adding voice control to your lighting system completely changes the way you will use your OmniPro / Lumina. If you have an Apple Watch, you simply raise your wrist and say something such as “Turn on the basement lights” or “Set the home theater lights to 20%". It’s literally that simple to control your lights! You can also use your iPhone or iPad to invoke Siri to perform these functions, but I’ve found that the truly seamless voice integration is via the Apple Watch, since it’s always on your wrist, and it’s effortless to issue commands to it.It’s really great to have a professional, supported app that can take the place of the venerable Haiku Helper product that is no longer available. And having a simple way to add voice control to our legacy OmniPro / Lumina systems is just wonderful!

I super happy at now being able to use Siri to control my switches etc. I've avoided using HomeKit since there hasn't been a solution got get it to work with my existing HAI OmniPro II. Some integration required a bit testing to get things workin as I wanted. For instance, I have a couple of HAI Buttons to open and close my garage door. Siri didn't know what to do with it when I set it as a "Garage Door Opener" control, but setting it as a "Switch" worked fine. I wish there was a way to set a "Button" as a button which doesn't have an on/off state. This, I beleive is more of limitation of HomeKit than this product. Also it seems that HomeKit doesn't refresh when you make change to the type of control set in this Bridge app. I had to delete the bridge from homekit and reconnect it as a new accessory to get it to refresh. This was a real pain because when you delete the Bridge as an accessort from HomeKit, you have to resetup all your devices in HomeKit from scratch when you readd it. Also if you remova a device from the Bride, HomeKit just displays a red "disconneted" error for the device and there is no way tp remove the device (without deleting the Bridge accessory itself from HomeKit). So this means that you have to know how you want each device to appear in HomeKit, test it, and then refrain from getting too deep into configuring your HAI devices with HomeKit until you're certain you've set everything up as you want with Myro. Again, this may be more of a limitation of Apple HomeKit than the app. Overall, I'm pretty happy that I can now integrat my HAI stuf with HomeKit in Siri, even if it did take some effort to set it up as I wanted.
