I hope you can feel the thrill and excitement of the overall atmosphere of this story, similar to the works of Yoshikawa Eiji and Tezuka Osamu, such as Astro Boy and Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Although it is a short story, its greatest appeal is that once you read it and are engrossed in the story, the scenes will be imprinted in your mind. I think this will help you achieve that.
