Radio Aleluya fue fundado en el 2001 por el pastor Roberto Rubén Villarreal, pastor de La Iglesia del Pueblo en Pasadena, Texas. Ese año comenzó con la 1460 AM. El siguiente año, se compró la 88.1 FM, permitiendo a Radio Aleluya alcanzar una gran parte de la ciudad de Houston. Radio Aleluya tomó un gran paso en el 2009 cuando compró la 980 AM, dándole cobertura en toda la ciudad de Houston y áreas circunvecinas.
