Paywalling online for new players

I’ve played this game for years now but the newest update paywalling an already small player base is greedy. If you must make a financial change please force ads on free to play players but still allow them to play online. This isn’t a good first impression and as someone who’s paid in the past I will not consider giving money until this is reverted. I know you guys can do better

For midcore and niche games like ours, ads simply don’t work well...they’re only effective at massive scale, and they often hurt the player experience more than they help.We’ll be keeping things as they are for now, but we’re watching player sentiment closely and will continue to evaluate how to best support both the game and its community.Thanks again for being part of this journey

It’s a really interesting take on Ju Jitsu with the card game style and especially with the new update where things are no longer percent based I actually like more, especially since the power cards can give that extra advantage leads to more intense matches, kinda wish yall kept it at 12 turns though. Also I’m am convinced half of the people I go against are bots as it’s inconspicuous timing on submission happens to be when I hit go. But I guess it’s cuz it’s a low player base as it is. You guys did great overall though and it’s awesome seeing how I can play my favorite techniques and especially with the allocation system adds that personal touch of how I’d design my own style to the game. 10/10 imo!

About the number of turns, we are tracking that to evaluate. The main concern with it, is that fights could get too long for a mobile game, so we are trying to keep the flow from pressing the fight button until coming back to the home screen with a max of 5min. Unfortunately, for now, regarding bots, this is the case as there aren't many players from the same level seeking to fight concurrently. This should get better with an increasing user base. We do offer a Top Gun event with only 1h duration to concentrate players. We might make them more often. Oss!

This game was a good concept , and I had it for over a year. However, it has always had periods of technical difficulties. Also, I was not a fan of the game mechanic rework at the start of the year , though I learned to live with it. Now, the expectation that users will pay to download a game that seems very much still in beta when the user base is huge, and there are major changes to the game regularly seems to be ill advised. I used to occasionally pay to turn off ads, but for the past couple of weeks now, I cannot even open the app anymore, as it gets stuck “authenticating,” possibly because do whatever update was supposed to charge us to play. I’m not going to try anymore, so you’ve essentially lost a paying customer.
