Since 2009, GrowingDeer episodes show what they are doing in the field, their hunting and management activities, week to week for a "semi-live" viewing experience. All material is recorded and shared within 10 days. Viewers no longer have to wait a year to see the results of the hunt. It's hunting real-time! A new episode is released each Monday, 52 weeks a year with no repeats. All the episodes are available for viewing anytime at GrowingDeer.com (GrowingDeer.tv). GrowingDeer episodes include action packed hunts, proven hunting strategies, food plot and trail camera techniques, practical advice for common problems and the gear it takes to get it all done.
All the content on the site is free of charge. The GrowingDeer.tv Team looks forward to sharing current hunts and information with you!
GrowingDeer.tv was created by Dr. Grant Woods as a means to share his love for managing and growing white-tailed deer. Grant’s passions in life are God, family and hunting. Grant has been hunting since the third grade and has degrees from Southwest Missouri State University, University of Georgia, and Clemson University. His goal is to provide current, useful information about deer hunting and deer management in an on-demand video format.
Viewers may be familiar with Dr. Woods from his frequent appearances on outdoor hunting shows like Bass Pro’s The King of Bucks, Mossy Oak’s Hunting the Country, Drury Outdoors Dream Season and other popular cable hunting shows. Readers of popular hunting magazines have most likely read his contributions in magazines such as Outdoor Life, Petersen’s Bow Hunting, North American Hunter, Deer and Deer Hunting, Quality Whitetails, and more. Dr. Woods has been described as “the expert’s expert on deer hunting and management.” Dr. Woods has been long recognized as a leader in the white-tailed deer hunting world. His honors include recognition from the Quality Deer Management Association with their Joe Hamilton Lifetime Achievement Award and their Al Brothers Professional Deer Manager of the Year. Additionally, Outdoor Life has repeatedly cited him as one of the top 25 people who have had the greatest positive impact on hunting and fishing (2007 and 2017).
