IBI- a good deal

The GoodEasy to use. Program seems well supported so farCan organize photos in different ways Quick, safe approach to sending photos to friends as only a link to the drive is sent to others. They can then download pictures they want to their computer. Can use on any device — from cells to laptops to desktops on all major operating systems (Haven’t checked Linux systems)The Bad Can’t organize pics in slideshow. Pictures added always become first ones of album. I’ve had this gadget for about a month. It was a bit confusing to set up, mostly because I didn’t expect to have to use my cell to do so. Cell phones are hard to do such stuff on. It has worked flawlessly for me. I didn’t use it as a backup where I would copy all 20,000+ pics to it. I have other backups for that and my pictures are already gathered together. Instead I use it to send my favorites to family and friends as jpegs. (I take all pictures with a Panasonic mirrorless camera then touch up as needed before showing to anyone). It is quick for me and much easier for family who have slow internet connections. I’d prefer to also have a wired connection as those are always much faster than WIFI. If you several people using drive at same time you will find connections to be slower.

I am still learning the ins and outs of my new ibi. I am really thrilled to finally back up and organize tens of thousands of photos taken over decades, and stored on every device ever made. It seems to be working well. I like the small attractive device, and I learn something new each time. I would buy this again.

Cannot add photo on a shared folder

Recommended my friend to get this ibi so we can easily share photo, but it turns out the app does not allow me to add photo or save to my ibi even when I was invited to collaborate. Contacted support and they told me the collaboration will not work on the app but the desktop only. Been waiting for this to be fix. How can this be a fully functional sharing device when I can’t even add photo? This is a basic function that many photo app have already. The collaboration folder will only work if the user is on the same ibi device...collaboration will not work for user not on your ibi device. Please prioritize this basic function!!Update for v2.2: nice work to get the ability to download the whole shared album or multiple photo. Now waiting for ability to upload photo to a shared folder from the app

Had the ibi for 3 years now and it runs great. Updates are good but noticed once I upgraded from my iPhone Xs to 14 pro then 15 pro the top two corners of the iPhone with functions, do not work well. Maybe the press function area was coded too small for my fingers? My fingers are average size male. But no matter if it’s hamburger menu, X icon, or whatever function they put it only works 20% of the time. Had to press multiple times to finally hit the small invisible target area to work. Most of the time I’m just closing the app and open it up and start all over again. All other features they have works well and runs great!
