Powerful app pushing the Leica RTC360

While the RTC360 can perform its amazing in-field registration with no tablet...adding a tablet and this app allows you to observe the in-field registration and to stunningly capture images with your tablet and geotag them in the data set. Cyclone Field and RTC360 have simply blown my mind!

App data fills up iPad

The app works well with the BLK G2, but the data fills up my iPad and there is no way to delete the data without deleting the app and reinstalling. I gather a lot of info for work but spend 20% of my time trying to clean the iPad storage out. I can only get three jobs on my iPad mini before I need to clean it. I’ve tried deleting the jobs on the app, deleting data on the BLK, deleting data one swipe by one swipe in the Cyclone app in the iPad storage in the General settings. Could the developers take a look at this and see if we can get some work around that makes this a better tool?

New version 4.0.4 seems to connect OK with old BLK 360 G1.

Out today scan three scans on Hi-Rez seem to connect OK to the BLK and also download the data so it looks like they fixed some bug was it wasn’t connecting and dropping. I was triggering everything from the app though the last time I used it, I could not download the data from the BLK G1 onto the app if I triggered it by the push button.I’ll try that again on this version and see if it’s still doing the same thing it did before

I’m happy there’s an app for the phone to control my BLK360, but it’s almost easier to not use the app. Very frequent crashes. If the app crashes during a scan I have to download the scan after because it doesn’t show under my project. I’ve been trying to download one scan to a project, but the app always crashes in the middle so I have to start over. I’ve tried about 10 times now to download it. It also appears there is a scan missing. Hopefully it will get better soon.

I’m happy there’s an app for the phone to control my BLK360, but it’s almost easier to not use the app. Very frequent crashes.
