st experience ever.We traveled from Seattle to attend Decadence on December 30th and 31st. On December 31st, we unfortunately lost our jacket claim ticket. When we attempted to retrieve our jackets by describing them to security, we were refused and told that there were too many similar jackets. We were advised that we could either wait until everyone had left or return the next day.We decided to come back the following day. Before doing so, we called the convention center and were told by a phone representative that the building would reopen at 6:00 PM. Based on this information, we had no choice but to change our travel plans and stay in downtown Denver until that evening. When we arrived around 7:00 PM, the convention center was still closed. We called again and were informed that the building had actually been closed the entire day—directly contradicting the information we were given earlier. We were told we would need to return on another day. After asking whether we could retrieve our jackets on Sunday, January 4th (the day we were leaving), we were told yes.On January 4th, we called again and they confirmed that we could pick up today. We made another trip back to the convention center. At the security desk, we were finally informed that all jackets from Decadence had been taken and donated. We then emailed Decadence and we were told to contact the Convention Center's security office,We were extremely upset and disappointed—not only because we lost our jackets, but because we were repeatedly given incorrect and misleading information. This caused us to change our travel plans, incur additional costs, and miss parts of our trip under the belief that we would be able to retrieve our belongings. The lack of coordination, communication, and professionalism among staff was shocking. We have attended raves and large-scale events across many cities and venues nationwide, and we have never experienced this level of disorganization and poor management. This experience has completely ruined our impression of this event and venue. We strongly recommend that anyone considering attending events here reconsider their choice. This is not a place we will ever return to.
