The Franklin County Public Safety App is an interactive mobile app designed to assist the citizens and visitors of Franklin County, Alabama. The Sheriff’s portion of the app allows residents to connect with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office by reporting crimes, submitting tips, and other interactive features, as well as providing the community the latest public safety news and information. The EMA portion of the app provides various features that strive to keep the citizens of Franklin County educated, prepared, and informed on preparedness and protective measures. Such features include social media feeds, storm shelter locations, school and road closures, severe weather information, and damage reporting. The app is a public outreach effort developed through a partnership between the Franklin County EMA and Franklin County Sheriff’s Office to improve communication with county residents and visitors.
