Blackout is a good controller for those who work on small to medium sized job where having instant control of all your units is worthwhile, but you don’t quite have the need, room, or budget for a full console. I found Blackout to be in that sweet spot between an analog board, which now is all but moot, and a system where you need to have serious training in order to be able to troubleshoot issues that arise.Blackout gives you the option to shift parameters with sliders, but you can also enter commands in a command line way with characters like you would on a larger console.The fact that the developer is very responsive to the individual end user is a huge given how quickly new fixtures are being added to the lighting business.It’s not an inexpensive app, but it delivers and makes you look good in the field while being able to remain nimble on your feet and ready for any new direction a production may take.

This lightning control app beats any other mobile OS based lighting control app. Works very similarly to EOS, fixture selection and parameter adjustments are far more easy than other Apps. Has way better options for fixtures and effects. This app is the most solid option for tablet based lighting control.
