Love hate relationship

Poorly supported apps. The company relies on private coders to produce and provide upkeep for most of the apps, at least the ones I use. The favorite developer doesn’t maintain the app, lose all functional ity for those devices. Then, why do you need to replace devices with something that is supported at that time, but it seems to be that you can’t count on that being a constant. Without the APIs in the apps I have several pieces of equipment that are useless. I do love the functionality when it works, but I certainly would think that there should to be something better out there.

Great app but lack support for devices

I love the interface, creating automations through the flow app is amazing, the layout is super easy to follow. BUT, I have over 15 devices that I used for so many years with another z-wave controller with no issues and now don’t work and need to replace them, not nice. Constantly lose connection to Kasa lights and have to keep re-authenticating. Some of of the older plugs keep turning off which I never had issues with. Distance coverage for zwave devices is horrible, I never had issues with that before with my old controller. I bought a thread device but not able to use it because thread without matter is not supported. Basically a great concept and vision but very poor execution. They should not claim the most advanced and the most supported devices because totally not true. If there is no app the developer created for homey the it is useless. Homey should be creating these apps not the develop.

Great idea, poor support

Homey Pro is a great concept. But it needs a lot of polishing.
For one thing, navigation through the app is not all that intuitive (to my mind). For another, some very basic stuff seems to be missing from the app: namely, the ability to grip lights or devices (like blinds) together so you can turn on/off (or open/close) all of them in the group with one click.
Also, the quality of apps is average at best. And many stop responding in the app, which is a pain.
Finally, support is kind of awful. I have tried several times to get help with issues with my app, and it feels like the emails go straight to the trash.
Such a shame. Homey had a lot of potential, but it is hampered by a lot of issues, great and small.
