Buoy Map puts live NOAA National Data Buoy Center (NDBC) observations on a worldwide map of ocean and lake stations.
Tap a buoy to see what that station is actually reporting right now. Conditions typically update about every 30 minutes, depending on the station.

BUOY DATA Each station has a different set of instruments, so not every buoy reports every field. When the data is there, Buoy Map can show:
• Wind direction, speed, and gusts
• Wave height, dominant period, average period, and wave direction
• Air pressure and pressure trend
• Air temperature and water temperature
• 72-hour wave height graph

This is the easiest app I’ve seen for finding and quickly checking data from nearby buoys. Works well - would love a watch app as well!

Interface is clean and easy to use. Would love to eventually see some additions like a ‘recent history’ or ‘favorited buoys’ for quick access to my regular spots.

Doesn’t show wave height in my area and that’s the main reason I bought this app.

Buoy Map now uses a faster, full-screen map with light and dark modes. Offline capability. Tap a station for a full-screen buoy view, with up to 72 hours of wave data when the station reports it.
