Chef League is a cooking game for curious cooks and foodies. Read the chef's review of dishes with flavor problems, choose the ingredient that fixes the dish, then see whose fix wins against other players. Play a few challenges and you'll start riffing without recipes and ordering off-menu.
Flavor is a language, and Chef League teaches you to think in it. The game was created by a researcher who studies flavor fluency (how experts become fluent in flavor and taste) and is writing a forthcoming book about it.

Chef League allows me to put my cooking knowledge to the test and access my competitive side. I feel like I am on one of the cooking competition shows I watch all the time. I love when I win, but am even more motivated when I lose because I know I can do better!If you love to cook like I’d do, this is the game for you! You’ll have fun and even improve your cooking knowledge. Other bonuses - the design is really beautiful (who doesn’t want to look at beautiful food all day?!), it’s simple to use, and the user experience is great!

My husband is a really good cook, making ridiculously good stuff from scratch...but when I try I just don’t seem to have an idea of what belongs with what unless I follow a recipe and it really frustrates me. I really like that this app is a game but that underneath, it’s really teaching you some cool stuff about what things make sense together so you kind of get your own intuition you can apply in the kitchen for real. Cool stuff.

This game helps me think more like chefs! How cool! I’ve tried a lot of cooking games but they’re relaxing task games.. This is different! I buy cookbooks, watch chef shows - love those too much - but never got better at inventing something from nothing in my own kitchen…. This game helps with that and is that something I didn’t know I needed!
Great concept, but UI issues

I feel like this will be fun and slightly improve my cooking skills, but the UI on my IPhone 6s makes the sliders exceedingly difficult to slide. I have to try to grab them roughly 12 times before I can move it.I’d also prefer FB Login not be required. I don’t have an account and wouldn’t want to share my info anyway. That said, I don’t play many games on my phone, probably 3 in the past 13 years, but I may continue playing this.
