When I found Calligraphy Crush couple months back, I loved it immediately looking at the previews of all issues. The magazine is affordable, well planned and organized with references, examples, tutorials, interviews all around a specific topic from well known calligraphers.That’s my favorite part about it. The contents are for all levels of calligraphers. I have been doing pointed pen and brush calligraphy for almost 2 years and these magazines have loads of details and tips that I haven’t come across before. I will surely end up buying the past issues too. Kudos to the idea and the execution and thanks to all the amazing contributors. Also great customer service.

I am so pleased with this magazine because as a beginner I find the information very helpful and beautifully presented that I just have to give the tutorials a try. The editor is clearly putting her heart in each article and tutorial. But even if there were no tutorials, the photography itself of beautiful calligraphy work is enough to get this magazine!I can’t wait to see the next issue!
App needs updating: Crashing

Lovely calligraphy magazine app with the mags slightly pricey for a digital issue ($15). Usually one gets a break on the price with digital formats. The content is good and I like the video inclusions. Lately the past week each and every time I try and open the app it crashes. I have the newest iOS and I’m using an iPhone 14 Pro max and I’ve restarted my phone, deleted the app and reinstalled to no avail. So I’m happy I didn’t pull the trigger on a subscription because I would be unable to view any of my issues. This needs to be addressed before I’ll pay $$$ for a subscription. Last update was a month ago but another is needed soon.

This magazine is so thoughtfully designed. The contributors, selection of articles and tutorials makes me want to grab my pens and letter the world! It sends me down new rabbit holes with each issue- gilding, wedding ideas, engraving. There aren’t enough hours in the day to explore all of the ideas proposed. Even after 50 years of lettering, there is always something else to learn.
