With Scratch, you can program your own interactive stories, games, and animations. Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively — essential skills for life in the 21st century. Scratch began as a project of the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab and is now managed by the Scratch Foundation.

For the ppl who want save

Good and bad thing of apps
If you cant save on the app its because it is not design to save, you have to install new files every time in order to save, if you want to share it then download your file and upload it on the website as simple as that. This is meant to be an offline editor not an online one.

Looking for the app options you'd expect in the menu bar? Too bad, Scratch has to be a special snowflake and ONLY include them in the Window.Want to open a project by clicking on a .sb3 file on your computer? Too bad, that feature doesn't work. You have to use File > Load from your computer (side note: why couldn't it be "File > Open" like every other app on the planet?)Want to save your project TO your computer? Get ready to wait about 20 seconds to a minute for the Finder prompt to show up. Hope you didn't click the Save button multiple times while you were waiting or that dialogue box is going to come up once for EVERY time you clicked it.Want to open up multiple projects in different tabs or windows? Y'know, the feature supported natively in macOS that requires no support from developers unless they manually toggle it off? Absolutely not.Want to access your backpack? No.Upload or publish projects like you could with the 2.1 offline editor? No.It's very clear that the scratch team has essentially just recompiled their HTML5 web editor as an app with little forethought into how it will actually feel to use. This doesn't feel like a desktop application. Every time I use it I worry that my work won't save or something else will go terribly wrong. That's not a good feeling for an application that people sink hours into working on projects. If you can, just work with Scratch online. It has more features, is more reliable, and won't take up space on your computer hard drive. Or the team at MIT could fix some BASIC user experience issues and make this app a fine alternative with an update. From what I've seen from my 6 years using the platform, though, I wouldn't count on the latter, though.

I hate the fact that there's no autosave.I understand that the app is supposed to work as an offline editor and for this reason, you can't save your projects online, but it is possible to autosave projects locally. As a developer, I can guarentee that it isn't difficult to implement a feature like this.Scratch is a great website and all, but the app is just a copy of the editor with less buttons. The Scratch Team needs to focus on this app for a while.

Scratch is amazing for teaching, but we still can’t pair hardware via Scratch Link on iPad or iPhone. Bringing native iOS support would let students connect their Bluetooth devices directly in mobile Scratch projects, making classroom and on-the-go creativity so much easier. Hope this can be prioritized soon!
