I do not believe in spending my hard earned money on games, but that being said, this gin game is the best I have played. I wonder sometimes if the AI cheats based upon the cards that come up and when it deals. I suspect that it is programmed to help PAYING players. I would make one suggestion - add a knock play where the knock number has to be below the first card turned from the draw pack. Examples: Ace plays to gin. All other cards are their value and to knock the knock card must be less than or equal to the card that determines the knock. Some games also play that any spade used as the knock card it worth double points. The knock card value can be displayed on the table. My only issue with this game is the music. Since the last update and the new beach scene it plays this goofy music and the only way to turn it off is to turn off all game sounds. I like having the game sounds so if playing someone really slow… you can do hear when it’s your turn. Even if you mute the ad (which is a great feature) the music then kicks in… like it’s constantly playing in the background. Anything constantly playing in the background is draining the battery unnecessarily. Every app I’ve had in the past that had music gave two options for sound. One for no sound and one to turn off the music. It’s really annoying when trying to play with a friend and FaceTime simultaneously (so you can trash talk with a buddy!). The only other option that would be great is an auto sort when an opponent knocks/gins. If you rearrange your cards while it’s the other players turn to see what your hand looks like… and they knock… you can get caught giving extra points to your opponent. Before the music or with the option to mute music only… it would be 5 star.

After trying numerous others, I discovered this gem! It has an eloquent UI which provides smooth playing. No crazy number of pop ups at start up or after a game. Thank you!! I’ve been playing the game since I was 7. That was 70 years ago. I played and gambled in bookie joints with serious players. Most of the games were hard fought, tense games. It was extremely rare for anyone to gin after 2 or 3 cards. This game reminds me of those times. It comes across as a fair dealer. The best I’ve seen so far. I have no need to look for another gin game. Thank you developers.There is one option I would enjoy seeing added. That’s Hollywood style where the knock card can’t be higher than the turned up card that is first dealt. It presents a totally different challenge.

I prefer this game over another similar one on the App Store. The format is user-friendly. There are very few ads. You play against real people. I like that anyone can create a table (choose: bet amount, straight gin or gin rummy, and number of points to win). Another app I used required players to pay money to be able to create a table. New players beware when leaving a table after a game, make sure you select the “Leave Table” button. Otherwise, another game will start and you will lose coins if you left with exiting properly.
