Glad to hear you're enjoying sonorOS! If you add your sound design software to the list under Applications and set the special behaviour to "do not play any sounds" that should silence it while you're working. If for some reason that doesn't stop the sounds playing, as a workaround you could try selecting Mute from the menu. We'll look into this issue and re-test to see if there are any bugs affecting Big Sur. Thanks for making us aware of it.

Thank you for the kind feedback, we're very glad you are enjoying sonorOS :)We would love to be able to extend support for all keys on the keyboard to allow general typing sounds, however Apple's Mac App Store admission policies currently prohibit us from doing so. To be able to see that you are typing would require the app to request Accessibility permission to control the user's computer and this is considered a "sandbox breakout", i.e. a potential security issue. If the rules change to allow it or if we find some other way to offer it, we will of course add support for general typing sounds.

Hello there. We hear you and we wish we could support more system events, but we have to work within strict security limits imposed by Apple's sandboxing requirements. This means trash bin, typing and certain other events are out of bounds, unfortunately. For maximum transparency and to manage expectations, the 36 supported system events are detailed both on the app listing page in the Mac App Store and on our website. If you have any suggestions for how we can communicate more clearly what the app can and can't do in advance, we would welcome your feedback.
