These assessments, planned on the IMPedia web application, are now fully executable within the iOS app, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for evaluating technical and non-technical competencies in a sterile real-world setting. IMPROVED: Intraoperative View Enhanced Next Step Preview: We've upgraded the intraoperative view to not only preview the next step but also to display detailed information about the materials and instruments needed. This enhancement ensures that you have all the necessary info at your fingertips, minimizing disruptions of the surgical flow and enhancing efficiency during procedures. Bug Fixes Smoother Operation: We’ve squashed several bugs that were impacting user experience and app performance. To assure a lead surgeon’s participation in an operation, we developed the decrypted Surgeon PIN functionality. You now have the option to lock your planned operations by defining a PIN that needs to be entered after the material and OR preparation steps and before the start of the operation. This is optional, but will assure that the surgeon who planned the operation is actually taking part in it. If there is an exceptional situation, or it is inconvenient to enter the PIN before the operation starts, your team can skip the PIN to not block the operation, but you’ll have to approve the skipping of the PIN after the operation in the OP history section to be able to send out the report. Go to IMPedia Settings on iPad or the Web and start protecting your planned operations. We further improved UI in the OP history section and fixed some minor bugs. Also, we addeed the ‘Contact Us’ functionality in Settings General section.

The IMPedia software (formerly "Nodus") is maintained and further developed on behalf of the association "Institute of Medical Procedures" based in Bern, Switzerland (UID number: CHE-187.867.378). The purpose of the association is to advance the quality and safety, as well as the effectiveness and sustainability of medical treatments. The latest feature called workplace assessment (WPA) allows users to define, assign and assess technical- and non-technical competencies of team members in an easy and seamless way. Also, the incident reporting system allows users to distinguish between human- and material-related incidents. Users can also link the incident to any material in their template’s material list and inform the manufacturer about the incident directly from the OR. Bug fixes

Since many lead surgeons often operate in more than one operating room, we implemented the option to run multiple operations at the same time. We also updated the voice control and believe to have found the perfect midsection between making it sensitive enough to recognize any voice while at the same time correct for unwanted background noises constantly present in the operating theater. In addition, we optimized the voice commands to be receptive to both male and female voices. Please speak clearly, make a short pause between the ‘ignition’ word ‘Nodus’, and especially emphasize all vowels. In addition, we improved the intra-OP UI by implementing a maximum word count so that an OP step’s title as well as its description won’t affect the overall UI, including the title of the next step. Finally, we improved the incident management functionality and made an incident's description mandatory before an operation can be fully finished. We implemented this because we believe that this information will help you continuously improve and learn from the challenges you face on a day to day basis. Note that all information is encrypted as well as only accessible to yourself and won’t ever be shared with any organization or entity. We enhanced the overall user experience at all three OP stages 

pre-operatively by: - Automatically moving from one table to the next once it's checked ‘Complete’ - Changing the order of the Briefing’s subpages to ‘Materials’, ‘Tables’ and ‘Devices’ Intra-operatively by:
 - Adjusting an OP step’s title height to extend the space for a step’s details text - Showing an OP step’s details by default Post-operatively by:
 - Adding ‘none’ as an incident impact level in the ‘Debriefing’ - Rename ‘TEAM RECAP’ to ‘SIGN OUT’ 
 We also fixed some bugs.

We extended the preoperative part of the App to avoid both delays and waste of material during an operation by introducing a new workflow specially tailored to scrub nurses. The new Briefing subsection allows for a standardized and efficient preparation of all the material as well as instrument tables and entails: - Material groups whose elements can be selected individually like Instruments, Implants and Devices, - Material groups whose elements can be selected at once like Extra Material, Extra Equipment and Tables, - A summary for the surgeon to see if all the preparation steps have been completed successfully. As usual, we have also fixed some bugs to make the experience as smooth as possible.

New features: - Dashboard: Finished and planned operations are differentiated by color. - Briefing: Intra-operative and briefing attachments are separated in two sections. - Briefing: Add diagnose notes to the briefing screen. - Intra-OP: Add & display two images to steps, checks and risks. - Reporting: Add and edit diagnose notes for the operation report. - Reporting: Add attachments to the OP-Report. - Reporting: Information and resolution strategies for reported incidents can be added and edited. - Reporting: Incidents reporting contains new pieces of information to fill. Bug fixes: - Briefing & Intra-OP: Fixed crashing of the app when saving images to the camera roll. - History: Open operations completed in the offline mode by taping their title. - Settings: Fixed the links to Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions w/o changing their content. - Other minor bug fixes.

We update the app regularly so we can make it better for you. This version includes bug fixes and performance improvements.
