Version 1.1 helps you play better against the computer. Two new buttons next to the move buttons show your best move and what your opponent is threatening. Under each name you see that side's chances in the position. After the game every move is checked: weak moves are marked ?!, ? or ??, the better move is drawn as an arrow, and both sides get an accuracy score. Your mistakes become puzzles in "Your mistakes" in the Play menu. The game screen also shows who is ahead in material and the pieces each side has taken. The engine has a new, stronger neural network, trained on its own games.

Version 1.0 — a new engine The computer opponent now judges positions with a neural network and plays stronger at every level, from the gentlest to the hardest. Études In the Position Editor each army now has its own Classic / Variant switch, so an étude can pair any two sides. An army with a compound piece always plays Variant.

Light themes Every dark screen theme now has a light partner: Sky, Cream, Mint, Mist, Lavender and Paper — for playing in daylight. Pick one in Settings → UI. Cream uses the palette of maharajah.one, and the site opens in the light partner of your theme. Fixes - Joining a game on the local network no longer fails with "connection refused" while the host is waiting in its lobby. - An online game won by checkmate is no longer announced as a resignation, and the board no longer flips when you review that game afterwards. - Checkmate now names the winner — "White wins by checkmate" — also when two players share one device. - Leaving an online or LAN game while it is still connecting no longer leaves a stray "connection lost" message over your next game. - An aborted match ends in silence instead of playing the losing sound to both players.

Place the pieces yourself A free-placement editor: put any piece on any square, with no army budget and no start-position rules to obey. Study a game, build an étude and look for its solution, then play the same position out against the engine — or share it as a link and let someone else try. Eleven languages The app and maharajah.one now speak English, Ukrainian, Russian, Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese, Indonesian, French, Bengali, Urdu and Arabic. Pick yours in Settings → Options; Urdu and Arabic read right to left, and the board keeps its usual a…h orientation.

Play from Position Paste a FEN or a whole game into the Play menu and take over from there — no more rebuilding a position piece by piece in the editor. A pasted game arrives with its real move history, so you can step back through it and play on from any point. Stronger engine play Removed a filter that could override the engine's own choice and replace a correct move with a weaker one. The engine now plays exactly what it calculated, at every difficulty level. Fixes - A pasted position that was already checkmate or stalemate is now recognised as such: the game ends with the right result instead of a generic win, and a stalemate is scored as a draw.
