Hi Friends, We’re Danielle and Julie, cofounders of PlotTwist, healthcare providers (Danielle is a nurse practitioner and Julie is a physician assistant), best friends from college (WE ARE Penn State), and yes, also two people looking for community. So, just know: WE GET IT. We know what it’s like to live in the most populated city in the United States and to still feel lonely. To want to chime in with that group of friends laughing in the elevator, but to look down at your phone instead. To bookmark every trivia night, open mic, book club, and kickball league seen on TikTok, but to chicken out at the last second because you don’t want to go alone. BUT we also know this: when we’re together, we never fear saying yes to anything. And this “yes” mentality is what leads to the loudest laughs, the most unbelievable stories, and the richest feeling of human connection. Life should feel social, fulfilling, and safe. It should be full of unexpected plans, connections you didn’t see coming, and core memories with your favorite people. That’s why we built PlotTwist. Because when you show up with someone who feels safe, you’re suddenly free to meet people who are new and your world expands in both directions: closer to the people you love and deeper into your community. We’re building PlotTwist because we’ve made it our mission to give every person the confidence they need to feel plugged into their community. We’re building for a world where social circles overlap, people mix freely, and everyone feels like they belong. Allow more pictures and prompts and other unique interactive bio features ! Would love it if we could get more details like Hinge. Option to see who’s “liked” you. Being able to read an individuals bio right off on the team display. Requiring a bio! Make the picture choosing less confusing: let one person pick 2 pics and let the other person pick 2 pics for the team photos. This would make everything way less confusing and glitchy. Same with the prompts. Just divide it so we don’t mess with the other persons choices. A feature that shows us who wrote the answer to the prompt.

I’ve tried multiple other dating apps and they’re ok but once i started with four play and got to understand the concept i instantly found it to be extremely fun and inviting. Most people on other dating apps are nervous to meet up because realistically it’s you and a stranger however with this app you have the buddy system while potentially meeting cool people, the idea is awesome and the prompts keep it interesting, i highly recommend it if you want a more fun approach to dating apps.

This app takes dating to a whole new level! My friends and I have had so much fun meeting other couples for double dates. It feels more social and way less intimidating than traditional dating apps. Plus, it’s great for breaking the ice when you’re not sure how to fill the awkward silences. We’ve met some genuinely awesome people and had a blast exploring new spots together. I’d give it 10 stars if I could!

If you are trying to find the best possible partner, odds are you need to screen multiple mates. Why go on a wasteful date with someone who doesn’t meet your standards. Going as a group is safer, and you can size up multiple folk and possibly meet “friends” and compare yourself against someone same sex. This is also a great time optimization too, when you can look at a whole group at once.
