I have used this app at some museums but this was my first virtual visit. I love that this home was saved in such a stunning fashion. Every floor shown was exceptional esp the 4th fl observatory that overlooked the Hudson, the Egyptian Revival music & art room and the stunning veranda with the Steiner dog represented for posterity. That must have been one pampered pooch. It’s amazing that a home built around our Civil War had so many bathrooms. Next time I travel from NYC to Albany on the Empire train I will try to take an actual tour of the home and grounds. I assume the home can be seen from the train but maybe it’s hidden by trees or the land. The trip up the Hudson is always enjoyable. Since there are so many trains daily it’s probably not far from one of the train stops.

I’m super excited to discover this app on my visit to Frick Collection and Guggenheim. Even having arts background I’ve been struggling to understand some contemporary art or didn’t do enough research about each artist’s background. This app is a guide to all arts & culture organizations in my pocket. I enjoyed every visit to the museums included so much more now - I understand artistic choices now, enjoy behind the scene stories and little details that I would miss otherwise. I rediscovered art all over again and enjoy my time at the museums much more now.
Great resource to use onsite and at home

Loved how easy it was to use to get more information immediately about art in a museum, or even in a botanical garden. Super cool that it’s both text and audio because I cant always focus and read in a museum setting. Also love that I can go home, easily find an image of a piece of art and dive deeper. It’s one of my favorite features because I don’t always catch name of the artist or artwork so i appreciate the option to look up a painting by sight.
Poorly designed app that is annoying to use in a museum

The use case of his app is very frequently pulling your phone from your pocket/purse and quickly accessing information. QUICKLY is the important word, but it fails at that.First, every time I open the app, it freezes for 5-10 seconds. Why? Who knows. Also the back button fails to work much of the time.Let's say that I'm in a gallery, and the numbers of each artwork increases sequentially. Not all galleries do this, but probably common enough. So if I'm at artwork #405 and need to get to #406 which is right next to it, there should obviously be a button to do that, right? Nope. I have back out, and input 406. FOR EVERY SINGLE ARTWORK. so frustrating.
Performance and usability improvements.
