Looking for an engaging math game for your child? Number Monster will keep your kid playing for hours. It's great for kids aged 3-10. Play it once & they'll get the hang of it. Play it again & they'll grasp addition & subtraction within 20. Next thing you know, they've spent hours playing and they're killing it in math classes.
Number Monster takes place on a board, filled with "monsters" valued 1 through 5. Move these monsters around the board to merge them. When kids make a ten with 2 monsters, the monsters will cancel each other. In the advanced difficulty level, kids will have to make a twenty or other targeted number to cancel the monsters.

Best brain games
I was looking for an app to help my 9 year old with subtraction, so I thought I would try this. I had no idea how helpful it was going to be for her addition/subtraction as well. In response to some people who have written that the problems can be repetitive. They seem to be designed that way on purpose, and for good reason. The app helps kids memorize the combinations numbers of common sums so they don’t have to rely on counting all the time ie: all the different ways you can make 14. This has had a huge impact on my daughter’s math calculation speed. And the best part is my daughter loves this app. It does a great job of teaching math and gives kids high rewards for doing it. I believe there is one small draw back that prevented me from giving it 5 stars. I think the subtraction app requires too much knowledge of the times table already. Also, unlike the addition/subtraction side, it jumps around a lot between different times tables. I needed to give my daughter a subtraction chart so she didn’t get too frustrated. I think this app would be 5 stars if the lower levels of the subtraction could focus on one or two sets of times tables at a time to build confidence and memorization. For example it could start with 0,1, and 2; then go to 2 and 3, etc, etc.. Otherwise, I can’t say enough good things about it. There really isn’t any other apps like it.
Daughter loves it; wish we could repeat early levels
My almost-6yo really enjoys this game. She loves the monsters, loves the puzzles, loves customizing the map. There are a couple of issues we have, though: - Because numbers are frequently centered instead of right justified, she's having a really hard time with tens and ones places. She'll frequently try to add the tens from one block to the ones from another, and then she gets frustrated. - She breezed through early levels, but needs to reinforce those skills so she can apply them to the two-digit numbers. I haven't found any kind of setting that would allow her to repeat lessons. - She gets really stressed out when the monsters get sick. So then when we're trying to work through challenging problems, and she can see their health dwindling, she's too focused on feeling like she's killing her monsters and can't direct her focus to the equations. I wonder if there are settings I'm missing that would allow us to address these issues? Just want to reiterate that we both love the app! These are just some things that could improve the experience in our case.
best learning program for 4 to 10 years old
One of the best learning app in the app store. it have all the major elements a child need to learn math. the app is fun, engaging, motivational and also rewarding. the games in the app are well thought and well executed which makes the learning fun. the characters are super cute and lovely. my child has even given them a name. the app is super friendly for my child and gives a corrective answers with detailed explanation when she is not able to figure out the right answer. the reporting part and weekly reminders are also well executed which gives a pretty good idea about how the child is progressing. my second child who is of higher age wished the app should also be made available for higher grades and for more subjects. we are always on a look out for educational apps and really appreciate when a single brand covers all the topics. I am now a very big fan of number monster and going to share it with my child’s school when it opens after the summer. will also be recommending to my friends 👫 and family.
