So I've been using TradeUp for a few months now, due to them running the best transfer bonus program in the market, 3% of the value of portfolio transferred in plus some free Stocks, beats pretty much everybody else, the program is still ongoing, so take advantage of it while i still can. My overall experience with them is pleasant so far, besides all the usual stuff like simple and clean interface, 0 fees, I wanna give a big a big shoutout to their wonderful CS reps, super responsive and helpful at the same time. So give them a chance and u might be surprised, in a good way of course.

I got this app over a year ago. They did very shady stuff. I deposited $100 and tried to withdraw it. On the paperwork it says I withdrew $200. So how many ppl have they done this to? They are committing fraud. Then I tried to close my account and they told me they would close it. Been over a year they never closed it. Then a few days ago I tried to speak with someone thru live chat and close my account and they blew me off. They send me away and say they will get back to me and never do. I send emails and everything. They blow you off. This is not a legitimate app. Do not trust them with your account info. I tried to withdraw money and could only do in small increments and they charged me $1 every time. So many better trust worthy app out there. Webull is one.UPDATE: You send a response telling me to contact you, maybe you didn’t read my review. I’ve been contacting you for past year to close my account and you still haven’t. Customer support is a joke and this app will rip you off. It’s on some fraudulent stuff. And this isn’t a review where I’m angry. This actually happened. I wrote a review when it first happened and included names of all the ppl I spoke with about the fraudulent activity and my review somehow disappeared. Do not trust this app.

I am writing to warn other users of TradeUp regarding unauthorized and unjustified activity in my self-directed brokerage account. Without my knowledge or permission, a position in my portfolio was liquidated and replaced with another security that is worth less than one-tenth of the original value. This is a self-managed account with no advisor involvement. At no point was I provided notice of this transaction, nor was any explanation given by the brokerage firm. When I reached out to TradeUP Securities, Inc. for clarification, they claimed their terms and conditions allowed them to take such actions. However, this response does not justify the lack of prior notification or the considerable financial harm caused by their actions. I believe this conduct warrants a thorough investigation, as it undermines the trust and transparency required for brokerage firms to operate in good faith. I have reached out to authorities of such behavior and wanted to share my experience here so other folks are aware.
