This works as described and for 99% of people it's probably enough. But personally I'd also like to archive the podcast show notes. A lot of shows have a lot of useful info and links in the show notes and that data is visible in Apple Podcasts.I'm guessing the question would be where to store it. It's too much data to fit into an ID3 tag but maybe it could live in iCloud.I'm probably going to have to write my own archiver at some point soon.

UPDATE: Months later and one of my fave podcasts randomly pulled everything except the last few years. So glad I have this app so I didn't lose access to some great podcast memories! Works perfectly and easy to use after figuring out the settings the first time. ORIGINAL: This app works great for archiving Patreon podcasts. The interface is simple enough to learn and the app works in a transparent and obvious way. I wish I'd had this app 10 years ago - before this, I lost access to a lot of great pods over the year as hosting went down, etc. THANK YOU! Recommended.

I tried a few free option before coming around to Podcast Archiver... gPodder, Clementine, Doughnut, and Castero. All of them are have strengths, but none of them match this app for the simple perfection at doing one thing well: archiving podcasts! The episode numbering and description downloading capaibility are especially nicet touches. If you're looking to save your favorite podcast for future listening on your own terms, with your own apps, look no further. This is the way.
