I’ve been playing this game for a few weeks now daily. Started before the most recent update. I was thoroughly enjoying this game. No actual pay walls. Very nostalgic. The ads in game WERE completely worth it. By the time to you would finish the ad, your army would be relatively healed. You could get free rewards from the store for watching one every few hours. Now every ad is broken and you can’t get any free rewards. You can’t double your rewards by watching the ads. Please fix this. This new update otherwise made an already addicting game have depth and longevity. Please fix the ads/rewards system.I had to upgrade my rating to the 5-Star from my previous lower rating. Thank you for fixing the ad problem. I have continued to play this game even through this time and because I’ve been enjoying it so much I bought some of the chest offers that appear. Every purchase I made significantly improved my play level. It wasn’t a waste of money if you don’t mind paying towards mobile games. I can say without a doubt, this game can be free to play or you can speed up with in game purchases. Either way this game is super addicting and a ton of fun. You have to at least try it!

Ruined a good game

I have been playing Hero’s of Might and Magic from when it first game out in the 90’s, and this app is nothing more than a money grab that destroys everything that was good about the game. There are non-stop adds if you want to get a little bit extra resources and to revive your army’s, and there is no way to remove the adds via a subscription like other better designed apps. You don’t get to build up a castle or choose your fraction or what creatures you want . It is all by chance by opening up treasure chests you find on the map, or by over paying for chest in the store that are not worth the money. The fighting arena is a joke. It will put you up against teams that have powerful creatures that you do not even have access to yet and then punishes you for losing. You go down -22 points when you lose and only go up 25 points when you win, which again is a joke. When you do lose, you don’t go up against any easier teams, they just stay incredibly hard and impossible to beat. They use bots in the area competition to compete against you for rank, which affects what rewards you get, probably because there are not enough people playing this joke of a game, so they have to make fake completion. Unless you want to pay hundreds of dollars for a cheating game that give garbage rewards and tons of adds, I would probably find something else. I regret every second of my like I wasted playing this garbage game!

I have played this game off and on for quite a few years now. I even restarted (3 times) having got to the max arena level. My main issue is that the Scholomance dungeons are unplayable. They crash on entering all the time. No idea why, it’s been the case for years. Nothing else crashes for me. Pleeease fix the Scholomance dungeons. And fwiw other dungeons are prone to crashing but if you load up the game again you can at least make progress. O and you don’t need to spend money. Buying the first boost for $0.99 is worth it to get you going faster but after that, patience, doing the daily/weekly quests and above all completing the Monday towers will boost your armies enormously and keep you a happy camper! Also, why not allow multiple accounts? This game would be so fun if I could run one account per race say. I mostly go with castle (for Arch angels) but it would be fun to try building up an count with necro say or inferno, Now fix the dungeons please

I never write reviews but i genuinely feel this warrants one. First off, the game has potential, the first 20 minutes of the game proved as much. The turn based style is anything but boring, and the strategy component is well thought. Then you get past the first 20 minutes. Almost immediately (write after the tutorial map) you face enemies that are stronger than you by 50x. First thought would be to just get good, but the only way to do that is to open chests to increase your unit size. Well each of those takes 4 hours to open, giving maybe 5 units. Fast forward a week of just grinding chests. Surprise, still cant get past the first map. Your strongest troop is still 4x weaker than any opponent. It becomes obvious upon first playing the game that they want you to spend money. A lot of it, not just a dollar here and there. This is not a F2P game, even if you have a lot of patience, that patience will be rewarded with frustration and rapidly disinterested. I would have spent some money here and there, but the value for the money spent is also abysmal with how rapid the enemy scaling is. This is why I am giving 1 star, and why I have now deleted the game. Shame on devs who make a game unplayable without spending money. Also, ignore all of the 5 star reviews, pretty sure, like with most App Store games, those are either bought or bot, either way, disingenuous.
