What’s New

Version 1.33

- The Murray's Three Fortune Cookie! Jimmy Murray was one of our four gracious Seraph Tier donors during the Kickstarter, and for that he earned the ability to help us design a feature! Jimmy is a comedian and hosts the "Kid Friendly Joke of the Day" Podcast (Google it!), and we created a storyline of 3 Comedian brothers who travel Enso telling jokes. With this new feature, you can purchase a Murray's 3 Cookie in the shop to feed to Amaru. Feeding Amaru the cookie will reveal one of their jokes for you, and you can then react by laughing, groaning, or an awkward silence.
- Fixed a bug where the game wasn't letting you know if you'd earned a Friend Coin. Now, as long as you're logged in, you'll be notified if someone uses your referral code.
- Fixed a bug where the "Amaru is ready to be tucked in" notification would fire even if Amaru was away Exploring. Now, you will not receive this notification if he is exploring.

Amazing and 100% worth the price

I absolutely love this game and it’s goals, this game has been the reason I’ve been so productive and happy honestly. I really enjoy seeing Amaru and whenever he goes on an adventure and it’s time for a screen break, this gives me the opportunity to stop procrastinating and I end up getting so much accomplished. While there is lots of content behind a paywall it’s 100% worth the $13 or so when I think about how many $60 switch games I have and barely even play. It’s a very very small price to pay for how happy it makes me and I know the money is going to be used to make the game even better!!! Plus I love the developers decision of no ads for everyone, this aspect is incredibly under appreciated. My biggest complaint is I’d love to see a timer of when Amaru is back from adventures because I always forget the times they say. Even a little post notification of him being back would be super epic. An amazing game all around though that I’ve already recommended to so many others :)

So glad you're finding it helpful! We'll get timers and notifications in with future releases.

Actually amazing

My one quarrel is that there’s a lot of content locked behind a pay wall, which really isn’t much of a quarrel. I’m just mad I don’t have the money to pay for a subscription, but I am sure the content locked away is very valuable to the maintenance of mental health. I’m also sure the money is used to pay artists, composers, and anyone on a team to help maintain the app and anyone who’s worked on it.
Without paying, the app is still very useful and genuinely helps to form healthy practices such as grounding, reducing time on your phone, and mindfulness. I’ve found myself using this app every single time I fall into a depressive hole and it’s genuinely helped me every single time. Don’t get me wrong, meditation and a cute animal hybrid isn’t a cure all for depression. I’m currently looking into medications as well as other coping mechanisms and grounding techniques, but personally, meditation does help. It’s helped reduce a lot of stress from school and helped me wind down before bed.

I highly recommend this app for intro to guided meditation and other meditation techniques and uses. The journaling is alright as well though I wish there was a blank version without the “I’m grateful for” prompt. Sometimes I just want to write how I’m feeling and don’t need the be reminded of something to be grateful for.

We're so happy to hear it's been helping you! Yes, we wish we didn't have to paywall things either, but unfortunately it costs ~$30,000/month to run the studio and we haven't yet found a way to break even. Hoping that changes for us soon. We have put all the self-care content, the meditations, journal, etc. on the free side of the paywall to try and keep it accessible. We've finally got text entry feeling better in the journal, so we're looking forward to releasing more journal features soon.

I’m in love with this app.

So I have issues with focusing and problems with anxiety and ADHD. I also haven’t really seen a lot of reviews about the free version. It has a reasonable amount of stuff to do without buying the full version. I would still recommend buying the full version (although I can’t since I’m a little broke right now from buying a ukulele). It’s a really good app and I’d recommend this to anyone struggling with self esteem and anxiety. I would also suggest watching a tutorial of where everything is because I had a hard time finding everything when I first downloaded it.
So don’t worry about not being able to do a lot if you don’t buy the full version since there’s still a bunch you can do even if you don’t have the full version unlocked. Hope this helps someone who’s worried about having to spend money.
The app is really good though and when I’m better with money I’ll for sure buy the full version bit by bit.
