If you paused one to many times while listening to a file in the background it’ll just won’t work anymore. You’ll have to listen to the file with the app open or delete the tab and reopen the app. Until you paused one to many times. This is really annoying because I pause all the time while listening to files.

2026: After the Apple software update of ios26.2 and the Apple being the most rest update the voices changed and the voice that I used to listen to disappeared. I believed the voice was ‘Aaron - English’ looking at the high definition and standard versions the name wasn’t there, which I was disappointed with. When trying the 3 day free trial version, there wasn’t any voice option that I liked so I don’t think I would use the paid version after the trail ends.😓2025: I have used this app for a year, so and I have never experienced this issue till today. When I listen to the text I had pasted and fast forward a few times it just stops speaking, I had to restart the app in order for it continue the reading 🥲. The issue still persisted even though the app is in the most recent update and my device is in the most recent update.

I have been using this app for about a year now. I use it alot and it is useful to me. Occasionally, in the past, it had been a bit buggy and or slow. Nevertheless those issues are few and far between. Yet, since the last update, the app now randomly crashes. I have tried deleting saved text, closing the app, switching voices, and restarting my IPad but none of them have worked. Now I am pretty sure it is a bug. This bug is different from the previous ones, in the fact that it prevents me from using it. I

I have premium, and here are sone of my typical experiences: The pages are jumbled up and out of order; the bot reads html rather than text; pages disappear and, where there should be the converted page, there will instead be a little photo of the page I had taken; it suddenly stops allowing me to highlight. I’m not exaggerating when I say that the majority of the times I try to use Speechify, I encounter problems which make it pointless to continue using at that time. I typically just resort to reading the textbook. I’m looking for another text. Trying to use Speechify has really been a very frustrating experience for me.
