This is a pretty good app for keeping my sanity at bay while I try to maintain my collection and archive scores. It keeps track of your games from BGG and your scores with friends. It shows your wishlist from BGG too. One issue I’ve been facing is getting every rank for my stockpile to show. Half will show but not all which is irritating when I want to gawk over my Top 100 games. Once that is fixed, I’ll probably change my rating to 5 stars. Regardless of this, it’s been a huge help with my addiction lol.

Been looking for an app like this for a long time. Wanted something nice and easy to use that I could have on my phone for viewing my collection and logging plays, and this does that almost perfectly. There are still a few little bugs, or small things I would tweak. But for the most part, this is a great app for turning BGG into a mobile friendly interface.

Been looking for an app like this for a long time. in need of a nickname
I love the potential for this app, but I’m having a few issues. One: I can’t figure out how to ADD a friend, the app just tells me I have none, which is sad and untrue. Also when I log a game I am unable to save a typed score - I have to spin the little number dial thing to get high scores to save. I really appreciate that it shows all expansions, including promo cards, for every game so I know what I’m missing! And, of course, that it links to my BGG profile. The search function works very well and shows all related items and editions. It does not deal with typos well for some reason. It highlights a word my phone doesn’t know, but doesn’t allow me to correct it like my phone usually does, so I have to use a workaround to search for games. One thing that would be nice is to be able categorize and search my owned games by mechanisms.

The best board game app, but…

Apparently the developer, as well as other reviewers, have mentioned how they can’t sync to board game geek due to limitations, however there are other apps that do this without a glitch. BGG Catalog, for example, not only syncs your games, but your plays as well! This is a well designed app; its aesthetic, design consistency, it’s a beautiful app, but I’m not sure why the sync is an issue?Hopefully he can figure out!

Hi Inginious,Thank you for the kind words about the app and your feedback - we really appreciate it.When we started working on this app, we had in mind full integration with BGG. Including, what you mentioned, syncing collections and plays. However, BGG does not expose an official API to authenticate users, which is required to sync information back to BGG. Every app out there, that allows users to sign in with BGG is essentially "hacking" (for the lack of a better word) their way through the existing system. This process is not officially supported and can break at any moment. Additionally, it's doesn't adhere to the best practices and recommendations in terms of security (i.e. handling the sign in process and user's credentials).The fragility of the process mentioned above and the fact that the sign in process wouldn't be transparent and considered secure - you would need to trust the app you provide credentials to, that it won't do anything malicious with them - we have decided not to follow that path. Rest assured, that if/when BGG decides to create an official and secure way of signing users in we will definitely jump on that bandwagon.Hopefully this clarifies why there's no sync back to BGG.
