We here at AlelinApps feel very strongly about keeping horses healthy. That is why we came up with Hot Horse. As things get warmer, we worry about over working our friends. When it gets colder, we want them in top condition and ready to work with proper blanketing. We don't sell horse blankets; we have no reason to recommend anything we don't honestly believe in. We use this app as much or more than our customers. We are right there with you.

Blanketing has been another bane for the horse owner. What blanket should we put on tonight? Does my baby need one to be turned out for an hour or two? What is an LCT? Hot Horse will help. There are many scholarly articles out there, but how to account for everything all the time? Hot Horse will apply consistent standards to give you the confidence in your decisions. more We have used this app since it came out. For us it has been accurate and easy to use. We really like how fast it loads, and the recent updates have been great. We generally use the widgets and watch complications which give you most of what you need at a quick glance. Also the horse update feature that prompts you to think about how your horse is doing under its blankets is well thought out.

I love this app! No wasted time debating with myself about whether it’s too hot to ride or what type of blanket my horse needs to have on. As a working mom, this app helps me more easily plan rides and quickly determine blanketing in the winter.

You know, I’d be more inclined to give this a better rating if it ever freaking worked. All it ever does is show grey spaces and no weather information. Then it says “it’s running very slow, please be patient” and then it’ll say “try again later”. Only seems to work about half the time.
Developer Response I regret that you are having that issue. That is a symptom of a connection problem between your device and the internet. The complete message is "The network is running very slowly. Please consider checking later." Please contact me and we can see if we can work through whatever issues you are experiencing.
