HOW IT WORKS
The app is easy to use: Aim your smartphone camera at an empty space on the floor at least 2 meters away. As you aim, move your camera to scan the floor. A white circle appears. As soon as it is completely white, touch it. This way you can position the magician like a hologram.

Simon Pierro is best known as the iPad magician. His performance at The Ellen DeGeneres Show made him a world-wide (internet?) phenomenon.

In cooperation with the university HSD Dusseldorf led by Prof. Dr. Geiger, Simon's digital magic was caught on camera inside a 360° greenscreen studio and later mapped out by room tracking devices that incorporated it into a fascinating app.

WHAT IS AUGMENTED REALITY?
