I have too many MIDI keyboards and software that setting up MPE is really a mess. MIDIView helps see what each pedal, slider, button, pad, key …. are doing. When I need to map (MIDI Learn) a controller this shows what’s going on, finds gaps and helps with finding (or setting duplicate) values. Not the only way to do this, but being manufacture neutral I can monitor all my VSTs, MIDI controllers, software parameters at one source. Really helps me! I have 3-5 other MIDI monitoring tools, but like this the best so far.

This is a simple a useful tool. When you are programing any midi controller or midi device you can check which channel is, cc value, etc…. Quick and easy. 100 recommendation!!!

This totally free app does exactly what it says. Thanks, devs! The UI is extremely simple. The output is in human-readable format and hex, instead of pure hex.However, all of the data for both input and output and all types are always displayed. There's no way to filter down to just the input. Or exclude clock which can make it nearly impossible to see the other data as it scrolls by too quickly.

While viewing MIDI sequences for diagnostic purcpoases is the stated intent of the app, it could be much more valuable if the app included the ability to select sequences to save to MIDI files for further testing.A MIDI capture mode that works like a MIDI sequencer would also have been very useful.
