Having been through gastrointestinal classes in medical school, I still recall myself overwhelmed with tons of data and lab sessions. I found that some things you can review at home, some you can't.
I found that examinations involving microscopy are one of the things that students find to be tough, especially when you can't bring the samples home with you. This means there is a need to recognize and remember sizes when viewing parasites in the microscope, all within classes.
This app aims to bring more intuition to learning to recognize the sizes and features of common gastrointestinal parasites while actual samples and physical microscopes are not available, and perhaps provide some basic knowledge along the way.
Play the spot diagnosis game; identify the correct species, spell the scientific names correctly. Each misspelling gets 0.3 points deducted!
