I have been using this app for many years and it is always the same story. Completely horrible and pretty much unusable at the start of the season then gets incrementally better as the season progresses (requiring many app updates) until it becomes just usable by the end of the year. This year is worse than most others and definitely a large step backwards from the end of last year. They even had to reverse the week 1 waivers and delay the next waiver to fix a problem because the highest bidder was not awarded the waiver claim! There are so many issues with this app it would be hard to list them all (even after the 5+ updates they have released in the last 2 weeks) This used to be the only app offering this type of league but luckily several other apps now provide a “chop” style leagues so we are moving to another platform. If this was their first swing at this I would give them a pass but they have repeatedly shown us that the quality of the app is not high on their priorities. I can’t imagine a world where most of the current users don’t jump to another platform next year.

This is a fun concept for a low pressure type of fantasy sports. First time playing a league like this. Would really like strategizing and trading and acquiring players through the bidding process. But the app literally destroys any hope of it being enjoyable. The features are dismal. The interface is miserable. It makes me want to ask the developers if they deliberately tried to make it awful. No way they launched this thinking people would like using it. I can’t even imagine what those R&D meetings were like. “Guys - take what people love about Draftkings and Yahoo and these other sites and remove all of the good stuff. Don’t let people click on links to see player info or other rosters. Mix up usernames and team names. Make the auction logic wrong and have unlimited network errors. They’ll love it! 🚀” App should be removed and company dissolved. Its that bad. Find a similar concept with software that makes you not want to hurl yourself off the roof of a tall building.

If I could give negative stars I would. I have played Guillotine format for 4 years and I would consider it the best fantasy format that exists. This year, new ownership took over and it is unplayable. They do not care about the customer. The bugs on the app are unbelievable. Waivers sometimes run, sometimes they don’t. Sometimes you can edit your lineup, sometimes you can’t. There are no free pickups so if injuries happen late in the week you are left helpless. There is no sorting options to view players. The website/app crash regularly. It’s genuinely really sad to see the fall from graces since new ownership took over. I am a lifelong fan of this platform, I will never play on this app after my experience this year. New ownership should be ashamed. If you are considering playing, I’ll save you the trouble, don’t. Find a different way to play, this app is a waste of time, effort and money and will only leave you frustrated.

This site has been an unmitigated disaster from launch. We drafted on 9/2/25 and the app and the site crashed several times. Then there was the fiasco with waivers week 1. They’ve “fixed” things, but it STILL isn’t user friendly. Trying to find a player to create a trade offer on the app will often not show the player exists at all. During live scoring, the site’s default shows scoring leaders by projections, rather than actual scoring, and there’s no way to toggle out of it. Also, before the season started, it was suggested that there alternative waiver options which have yet to be available. In fact, while writing this review, a league mate texted me to say there was another issue with waivers. This has been a joke. Fantasy Life has destroyed what had been an enjoyable site/app. My league mates and I are already deliberating between a move to Sleeper or Yahoo next year because this experience has been so awful.
