Back and forward in DjVu, PDF and EPUB: return from a jump, then go forward again. Keyboard: Space / Shift-Space turn pages in PDF and EPUB, ⌘+ / ⌘− resize EPUB text, and Esc closes panels one layer at a time. DjVu photo layers in progressive or CMYK JPEG now display, and Trim Page Margins works on scans with black borders. The EPUB contents mark the section you are in, and resizing the window keeps your place. Improved double-tap zoom on rotated pages, smoother trackpad zoom, and Cancel in Go to Page on iPad.

New Library Backup in Settings: back up your books, reading positions, bookmarks and annotations, and restore any missing books without touching the ones you have. Keyboard: ⌘B shows bookmarks and menu shortcuts now work in PDF and EPUB too. If a change can't be saved, you'll now be told instead of losing it silently. Fixed annotations missing after unlocking a protected PDF, DjVu links landing on the wrong page, EPUB search reporting no results too early, and reading positions lost after rotating.

A clearer reading toolbar keeps navigation close and groups secondary actions in More. Improved DjVu page preparation and continuous scrolling. EPUB progress distinguishes chapters, pages and whole-book progress. Improved reading-position restoration, bookmarks, footnotes and PDF navigation.

Trim wide margins in scanned PDFs for a more comfortable reading view. Move through books with the page slider and return to your previous location. Improved drawing, highlights and notes, and more consistent reading controls. Fixed PDF page geometry, rotation and zoom handling.

Improved upgrade safety for saved reading data. Preserves PDF reading positions and zoom, EPUB typography, and per-book fit settings. EPUB reading now uses Readium, with improved page navigation, search and precise position restoration. DjVu handwriting now uses native PencilKit with undo, erasing and protected storage. Added PDF search, password unlocking and Fit to Window; restored native page-turn animation. Fixed Recent Reading and drawing gestures that could move the page. Unified navigation, reader settings, and bookmark names and notes across DjVu, PDF, and EPUB. Improved EPUB image display, text sizing, opening speed, and bookmark and jump restoration; fixed ink toolbar placement and optimized OCR and sharing.

Improved compatibility with older DjVu files and added a clear notice when a page's photo layer can't be displayed. Search still matches Simplified and Traditional Chinese without changing document text.

DjVu Reader is now a full document reader for DjVu, PDF and EPUB — fast, private and fully offline. The Chinese conversion this app has always offered is still here, and now does more: a standalone paste-and-convert tool, conversion of a page's text inside a document, optional Taiwan vocabulary (鼠标 → 滑鼠), and search that matches Simplified and Traditional at once. Also new: full-text search with highlights, on-device OCR for image-only scans, table of contents, bookmarks, thumbnails, annotations, PDF export, printing and Read Aloud.
