Easily calculate deflection for tube and roll straighteners with Deflection Calculator by Turner Machine.
Deflection Calculator takes inputs for 4 parameters: outside diameter, roll center, yield, and Young's modulus. It outputs a deflection in inches or millimeters. A unit selector allows for easy transition between imperial and metric units. Past calculations can be viewed by pressing the History button.
For the roll center, as an alternative to the user entering the value, a selector with over 50 machines will apply the correct value for that machine in the specified units. Similarly, the Young's modulus can be input by selecting one of 6 metals.
The Machine Data tab shows minimum and maximum tube diameters for machines in the WS, 900, and A series in imperial or metric units.
Deflection Calculator avoids the hassle of tables and number-crunching, guaranteeing an accurate result every time!
