The key feature in this app is the mineral or rock identifier where the app can recognise and identify the mineral based on a given photo. Minerals can also be searched on the most of the characteristics and they can be placed on a personal checklist.

Id like to suggest a feature. I understand why you limit the id count. But it would be nice to see other peoples to compare.That way i could still study up after i hit my limit. The forum where other members can guess or comment on pictures we upload is great. But most have no comments. If i could access other peoples in the same vicinity it would be ever more awesome. That way i could meet other rock nerdz.

So far, without the ability to confirm the readings and the accuracy of any of these results, the ability for the app to maintain consistent numbers as I go about extracting minerals, and cleaning some things up, it seems to all fall perfectly in line, and once I get some results that can confirm the accuracy of these numbers from this app I will. But until then, this has been so far an awesome app!

Great app I use it quite regularly. Only thing I feel might make it even better is if along with the mineral name(s) of the rock you scanned if it would also identify the rock type like Dalmatian stone, Basalt, limestone, sandstone, turquoise, chalcedony, amethyst & so on. Still even without that it’s a fun app to use.

I was so intrigued to get this app with all the great qualities it portrayed. But when I decided to download it, it wasn’t as favorable as I had expected.It kept giving me like 50+ results for the pictures I took so I had no idea which rock it actually was. So then I started taking pictures of rocks that I had already figured out the name of, and the results were so far off.All the answers that this app gave me were invalid.#Incorrectly identified just about all of my rocks.
