Exactly what I was looking for

I have a bad habit of being late to meetings. I just get distracted! This nifty free app keeps it simple with just the two things I need. 1. A display in the desktop bar that shows your next meeting and expands into a full calendar view and 2. Gives you a CLEAR notification (I prefer full screen) when a meeting is starting so you can join. It’s fixed my problem of showing up late to meetings. And it’s not trying to cram any AI features into it, which I appreciate given all the other apps out there right now. My only feedback is it would be great if you could set a timer for the small desktop notification to auto-dismiss. I like to use those to indicate when I’m 2 minutes out from a meeting, then I use the full screen at the meeting time to join. But I don’t want to have to dismiss the small notification manually. Tiny nit. Still 5 stars.
Wonderful, Simple & Helpful App

I was looking for an App that would show me how long I had until my next meeting, and give me a simple way to join remote meetings. That's it. Why? Because I was finding myself running late to meetings because I'd ignore my Calendar reminder that fired 5 minutes beforehand. 5 minutes was long enough for me to get distracted with something else. Setting my reminders to "At time of event" meant I was already late.MeetingBar is exactly what I was wanting. It is non-fussy app, but still has all of the features I wanted. It allows me to have a non-obtrusive reminder of my upcoming meetings hanging out in my menubar, adjust the character limit of the menubar text, add a custom reminder of 1 minute before my meetings, and offer a one-click way of joining remote meetings. Simple, yes. But exactly what I wanted.
Better than expected

I was looking for a utility that would show the currently active calendar event in the status bar. This goes above and beyond my needs in a good way, not getting too bloaty with pop-out calendar views and other things that attempt to claim all of your calendar needs. It's a simple utility with a defined purpose and honestly a huge bump to my productivity. I'd pay money for this.
Such a help!

I've made it way more meetings since installing! I used to blank on some meetings regularly, and now I don't.One UX bug that could be improved. If the full screen reminder comes up when you are on a big monitor, and then you unplug to take your meeting in a room (common use case), the location of the reminder is not off your laptop screen. So I need to plug back into my monitor to dismiss the notification. Not a great workflow.Love the app in general though!
- Major performance and stability improvements (core rewrite)
- New visibility settings for ongoing events: hide after start / 10 min after / 10 min before next
- Visual timeline of your day added to the menu
- Calendar info now available via AppleScript interface
- Added action to dismiss the event from the notification
- Added support for LiveKit Meet, Meetecho, and StreamYard links
- You can now set any executable as a "browser" to open meeting links
and a lot of bug fixes and translations updates
