DNS Security helps protect your privacy by encrypting DNS queries with DNS over HTTPS (DoH) and DNS over TLS (DoT). Choose a provider, enable your DNS configuration, and manage your settings in one place—without routing your internet traffic through a VPN.
WHY ENCRYPT YOUR DNS?
HTTPS protects the content exchanged with websites, but traditional DNS lookups may still be unencrypted. These lookups translate domain names into IP addresses and can reveal the domains your device requests.
Encrypted DNS helps protect queries between your device and your chosen DNS provider from eavesdropping and tampering. Your provider still handles those queries, so choose one whose privacy practices you trust.

• Choose built-in profiles for providers including Cloudflare, Google, and AdGuard.
• Enable or disable your DNS configuration from the app.

DNS SECURITY OR DNS SECURITY PRO?
DNS Security includes the everyday DNS controls above at no cost. It offers an optional Pro in-app purchase for the advanced features below.
DNS Security Pro is the paid edition. It includes the same everyday DNS controls plus these advanced features from the start:

• Create custom DoH and DoT profiles.
• Download updates to built-in DNS profiles.
• Enable or disable DNS for specific Wi-Fi SSIDs.
• Switch profiles with Shortcuts and URL schemes.
The difference is advanced control: both editions support encrypted DNS. You can unlock the Pro tools inside DNS Security or choose DNS Security Pro with those tools already included.
DESIGNED AROUND PRIVACY
DNS Security manages your device's DNS configuration and does not collect personal information. DNS requests are handled by your selected provider under that provider's privacy policy. Encrypted DNS protects DNS queries; it does not make all browsing anonymous. Blocking malicious domains depends on the provider and profile you choose.
AUTOMATE YOUR DNS
With Pro, use Shortcuts or a compatible app to open a switch URL and select a DNS profile with your preferred network settings.
Example: select google-DOH for Wi-Fi, with cellular disabled:
dnsapp://switch?config=google-DOH&enableOnWifi=true&enableOnCellular=false
Use the scheme for your installed app:
• DNS Security Pro: dnssecuritypro://
• DNS Security: dnssecurity://
• Shared scheme: dnsapp://
Replace dnsapp in the example with your app's scheme. The requested profile must already exist in the app. Initial activation may require selecting DNS Security in iOS Settings.
Choose your DNS. Control your settings. Add privacy to every lookup that uses your encrypted DNS configuration.
Some of us NextDNS users are frustrated over the fact NextDNS refuses to update their app and won’t add their DoT as an option to their app or configuration profile. This app does well to fill that void, it even includes a similar on and off button that the NextDNS app hasMy only complaints are it doesn’t offer a way to use NextDNS’s DoQ (QUIC) standard and it tracks of things like your local address. If the developer simply stopped keeping track of things like local address, I would give this a 5 star rating. I won’t penalize an app for not offering DoQ because the only way to enable DoQ on iOS is through a VPN connection since Apple doesn’t support QUIC natively on iOS yet. Still I would love to at least have the option to use QUIC.

Well where I’m at it sure looks like a Rain Storm is approaching me! So I would like to duck out of getting soaked, and take the time to talk about this great outstanding unique system app. It’s Hard to believe that Security would be such that words would be invented by crooks who want to steal our money and identity if they can get that far! The words are Scam Fraud and so on , but thanks to the Developer’s who have put a great deal of time hard work sweat and love into the coding of this software they have protected you myself and our family with this 5 Star Design App! I hope if your taking the time to read this you will download this app and give it a try! I don’t believe you will be disappointed or sorry! ( really ) what do you have to loose? ( maybe more then you can imagine) well looks like I might get a break from the Storm so I am going to try and get my ole Bones up and moving! So with that I want to one more time Thank the Developer for putting out a Unique Outstanding Design App for all of us to use yup Mr Developer I Tip my Hat to you! Must have app I use adguard also but when using vpn…have to remember to toggle on and off. Love this as my safety net and the flexibility to use on different ssid and other features I use this everywhere thank you
