A French Language Arts Reading application designed for First Graders. The app uses images and interactive activities to teach word recognition and understanding.
This is a French Language Reading application designed for First Graders. The lessons focus on word recognition and understanding. Each lesson is based on a place or a theme, for example a hospital or transportation. The exercises are designed to teach and reinforce the written words associated with displayed images. The application is intended as a supplement to classroom/adult instruction. The application uses text-to-speech synthesis to assist the students.
The application content was designed by members of the the EDUQUAT program in Port-au-Prince Haiti. The majority of the software development was done by developers in Haiti. The A Connected Planet Foundation provided design guidance, development oversight and did the final software integration/publishing.
