SecondWorldWar is a large-scale turn-based strategy simulation spanning the European and Pacific theaters of World War II. Command cities, corps, fleets, research, diplomacy, air warfare, naval operations, and bombing campaigns.
Play 8 historical scenarios. Five European scenarios cover 1939 to 1944 with changing playable nations and expeditionary forces. Three Pacific War scenarios begin in 1942, 1943, and 1944. In the Pacific, command the United States, defend Pearl Harbor, seize island bases, and advance toward Tokyo against Japan.
Pacific warfare is built around sea zones, island bases, and logistics. Form Marine corps, embark troops on transport ships, protect them with fleets, bombard coastal defenses, and launch amphibious landings. Captured ports and controlled sea routes extend supply across the ocean, while isolated bases lose access to effective air operations.
Manage cities, organize corps, deploy fleets, and unlock equipment through research. German and U.S. airborne corps can board transport aircraft, attack enemy cities by air drop, or redeploy to friendly airfields. Both auto-resolved and manual battles are supported. Manual battles include machine guns, mortars, anti-tank weapons, artillery, tanks, aircraft, and healing.
Naval warfare uses dedicated sea zones and routes. Fleets refit in friendly ports, carriers operate aircraft, submarines raid commerce, and surface forces bombard adjacent enemy ports. Fleet screens show embarked corps, readiness, fuel, and ship details.
Diplomacy remains central in the European theater. Declare war, negotiate truces, steal technology, run propaganda, influence countries, request reinforcements, send economic aid, and improve relations.
