Calculate IV fluid for burn patient during resuscitation with Parkland Formula Pocket Burn Calculator is an app designed to help health practitioner during acute management of burn patient. There are three main features in Pocket Burn Calculator. You can calculate resuscitation fluid, total body surface area (TBSA) of burn, and Abbreviated Burn Severity Index (ABSI) score. Resuscitation fluid calculation is based on Baxter or Parkland formula. The fluids are given in the first 24 hours after the onset of burn. TBSA calculation of burn is based on the Wallace rule of nines. While ABSI score is a widely used and simple score to predict mortality after burn injuries.
