WatchThisCube is a Puzzle Timer for your wrist! Perfect for on the go, without having to carry a timer with you, or when you're in a pinch and need a quick solve or two! A key feature also includes SOUNDS & HAPTICS for your inspection time! Allowing you to FEEL a tap when you have 7 seconds left, 3 seconds left, and when the timer begins! All without having to take your eyes off the puzzle! With functionality similar to a traditional stackmat timer, you should be able to take right off with familiar gestures for control! You can even take the watch off of your wrist and set it down on the table, for familiarity! Tracking times is simple! Stop the timer, and they are saved! That way you know exactly how you did! Much than the default stopwatch app for cubing. Would like to see a feature where you can start/stop the timer totally hands-free with the accelerometer/gyroscope by placing your hands on the table and then stop it by hitting the table again. You could do this by checking for a certain window of low accelerometer/tilt readings to enter the start window, trigger the start when the watch starts moving again, and then check for low tilt/high G force to stop the timer. Then have a setting in-app to tune sensitivity thresholds (on both the start and stop side). That would make it REALLY stand out and is a feature I would try coding myself if I had the time.

Easy to use, motivates me to actually time my solves.

I’m a fairly casual cuber, and don’t often time my solves, but the ease of use of this app and the intuitive UI has motivated me to start timing, and improving my times. I’ve been practicing my 5x5 a lot recently, and trying to get a consistent sub-5 mins for months now, and the availability of always having a reliable timer right in my wrist is something I didn’t know I needed. Now all I have to do is screenshot the times during each session and write them down when I get a chance.The only critique I have about this brilliant app, is that I’ve noticed the averaging of times is somehow way off at times. For instance, trying it out for 3x3 times as a baseline, only two times were recorded-1:06.12 and 53.82, and somehow the app calculated an average of 1:56.42 when it should be 59.97. I can’t for the life of me figure out how it came to that conclusion, but I have a screenshot if the Dev would like to reach out.

This update makes WatchThisCube more reliable and easier to use! • Support for iPhone Duo, iOS 27, and watchOS 27. • Double tap your thumb and index finger to start and stop the timer on supported Apple Watches running watchOS 11 or later. • Tap a saved time to delete it, with your session average updating automatically. • Solve history now stays saved between app launches. Resetting the timer keeps your saved times. • Improved timing accuracy, prevented duplicate solves, and corrected time formatting and averages for solves over a minute. • Added more noticeable haptic alerts during inspection and when timing begins. • Improved scrambles for 2×2, 3×3, 4×4, and 5×5 cubes, with easier reading on smaller Watches. • Improved timer controls, swipe navigation, and efficiency.
