FYTA: A fitness tracker for every plant
FYTA Mini, FYTA Beam, FYTA Terra, and FYTA Sphere measure soil moisture (VWC), nutrients (EC), light (PPFD/DLI), temperature, and humidity - indoors and out.
When adding a FYTA Wi‑Fi Hub, or a FYTA LTE Hub to your setup, you get remote access and live notifications, even when you’re not nearby. Start small and expand as needed - from a single plant to a full indoor or outdoor setup.
I think the FYTA platform is incredible for pioneering, a new level of plant care for those of us not born with a green thumb. I searched high and low for such a device that can deliver plant data through a hub on a constant basis. There is nothing out there like this. I live in Miami, but spend a few months in New York every year and want to be able to monitor my plants from afar. This enables it and so much more.Support has been great and very diligent. The product is at an early stage. One needs to recognize that. It did take a little work to figure out how to open and activate the sensors. Once activated I found the sensors to be solid and water tight (so you can leave them in when watering). I found the app to be surprisingly fun and friendly with a well developed user interface. The company’s mission to help people connect more with plants and nature. I can see that passion from the team members I’ve interacted with. I look forward to seeing how the platform evolves!
Massive Improvements

I backed these on Kickstarter and was so excited to use the platform. The first version of the app wouldn’t add any of the devices, I tried 5 before giving up. After writing to the team, I learned about the recent update and I AM SO EXCITED AGAIN! I just added 3 devices on the very first try for each, including the WiFi hub (which are notoriously finicky). The actual app interface is pleasant but the features are the real value. It combines a unique IOT platform with a plant identifier and a resource database. I’m incredibly excited to have another source of intel on my plants and I hope I’m able to learn from this platform.
Great Progress
PlantKiller69
This maybe a developing app but they make frequent updates every couple of weeks and are making great progress. Keep it up guys.
App was working until it didn’t
Thesearethefacts
The app was working fine except the beams were not. Tried to use support through app to talk to someone and never got anyone. The app updated today and told me I can use the app until I update. I updated it and the app continues to tell me I need to update. Uninstalled then installed again twice in one day. App works momentarily before it tells me to update again and refuses to work even though it is updated. Fyta needs to get their act together.
Developer Response
We are sorry for the inconvenience. We made a lot of improvements in the app with the last updates, but from your comment it is not clear if the app tells you to update the beam or the app itself. Please get in contact with us and provide some screenshots if possible, just send a mail to hello@fyta.de and we will get back to you asap.Kind regards
What’s New

· Improved transparency: Device settings now show the actual “Last sync via” route, helping you better understand how your sensor data reaches the FYTA
· Various bug fixes and performance improvements for a smoother experience
