このゲームは7つの国の中の一君主となり、大陸制覇を目指す戦略バトルS.RPGです。
武将をスカウトしたり兵士を徴兵したりしながら部隊を強化し、自国の領地を拡大していきましょう。しかし他の国々もあなたと同じように領地の拡大を狙っています。時には他国同士で潰しあい、時にはあなたの領地へと攻めてくるでしょう。各国の状況を見ながらうまく自国を拡大していくことがこのゲームの醍醐味となっています。

キングダムオーダーは内政や複数の部隊管理といった面倒くさい要素を極力シンプルにし、その分、自軍の編成に戦略性と奥深さを持たせています。
指揮官や副官の指名から扱う兵士、陣形に至るまで自由に編成し、最強の軍隊を作り上げてください。
[[ 7つの国の群像劇 ]]
キングダムオーダーは7つの国のどの君主でも遊べるようになっており、それぞれの国がそれぞれの正義を持って戦う姿を物語で見ることができます。
そのほかに各武将たちにも因縁や絆があり、戦場では意外なストーリーに出会うこともできます。
[[ 毎回違う展開が楽しめるランダム性 ]]
ゲームを始めるたびに各国の武将や部隊構成が変わるので、毎回違った攻め方や戦略を楽しむことができます。仲間になる武将や獲得できる兵士なども変化するので、何度でも遊ぶことができます。
[[ やり込み要素とハクスラ要素 ]]
50以上の土地に70人を超える武将たち、60種以上の兵種に70種以上のアイテム、膨大なボリュームがこのゲームには用意されています。さらに探索などで発見したアイテムは都度その能力値が変わり、気に入ったアイテムは次のゲームへと持ち越せるなどハクスラの要素もあります。
