Champagne provides tasting notes of 13,451 champagnes from 1,325 producers. In addition, there is a comprehensive glossary, an overview of the vintages since 1971 and the detailed presentation of the regions and sub-regions of Champagne. The most important champagne producers, the big houses, but also the best growers are portrayed, and the style of their champagnes is outlined.
"The best book about champagne": This was the statement of a well-known French wine writer about one of Gerhard Eichelmann's nine books on champagne. In France people were so enthusiastic that the renowned publishing house Larousse translated and published it. Due to the high demand from abroad, and because many champagne houses and winemakers asked for a book in English, the author decided to publish the new edition in English and in form of a compendium. And he decided to provide this contents also in form of an app.
