Monument Universe - branded MonU - is an intuitively designed App that takes its users on a virtual tour to the ‘most popular’ and ‘culturally rich’ heritage sites and monuments in South India.
While doing so, it educates them on the historical significance and architectural brilliance of these monuments with content that’s furnished by qualified archeologists.
And, it offers this content through sensitively made visuals that make the app experience a highly entertaining and enjoyable one for its users.
To help in easy consumption of this content, the app breaks it into three parts:
* A broad sketch of the region (say Mahabalipuram or Kanchipuram) which are home to landmark monuments:
o Reasons why these regions were selected by kings who ruled them and a list of all monuments that were built in this region.
* Micro details of a particular monument (say The Shore Temple of Mahabalipuram or Kailasanatha Temple of Kanchipuram):
o Identifying all architectural aspects/components of the monument and discussing each of them under an appropriate heading, so users find it easy to understand the magnificence of the monument in smaller and easily relatable bits.
To help users easily navigate through the listed monuments, the app gives them various approach options.
* The landing screen shows all monuments covered in the app.
* The region-wise search helps users locate monuments in a particular state.
* The search tab helps them find monuments of their choice by an independent search. It also makes their search easier by providing them popular tags using which (also) they can find monuments.
The app offers its users a highly personalized experience by:
* Helping them log in through either their mobile number or email address.
* Making a list of their bookmarks and reviews.
* Making it easy for them to submit their review through their profile page.
