I like it but…

I wish there were more ways to customize the games. The kids hyper fixated on the reaction of the alien to their answers making it difficult to know how much they are understanding and how much is just to get a reaction from the alien. Make it so we can turn that off please!! Love it outside of that.

V basic or v advanced nothing inbetween

I bought a few of the modules and at first bit was exciting - simple word choices (2 object shows, “fund the ball” reward offered, great little rewardsBUTsame rewards over and over so got voting words were not really everyday (tigers and castles and kings instead of regular daily living words like toothbrush and other household items ), and only about 50 words being targeted Then we ran out of words and bought the next one along (you buy each moduleOne by one) . It was crazy difficult and the game mechanics did not work (eg spatial game “put the ball under the table”…but the ball would not go under the table. two adults trying for ten minutes could not get the ‘entry arrow’ to accept the ball) and the language universe was wildly abstract (eg picture of a king and another person, 9 -13 objects of varying sizes and categories. and three conceptual levels deep ….”put the aeroplane behind the kings chair”Such a huge leap from “find the ball” with only two objects presented and demotivating

The nouns (naming vocabulary) within the Splingo app are designed to cover lots of different categories - eg everyday items such as cup, toothbrush, ball, spoon etc as well as animals, transport, clothing, people etc etc. The app is designed to be used at various levels of complexity (not just basic and very advanced) and the menu should allow users to select what level they want to work at. We'd love you to enjoy Splingo - if you contact us on help@splingo.net we can talk you through how to get the most out of the app :)

Splingo’s Language Universe

This is one of the first apps I ever downloaded! It is engaging and challenging for all of my speech-language therapy students! I have one student who is mostly nonverbal who requests this app by name each week. I also love all of the other Splingo apps! So much fun for all of my students. Thank you and please keep updating and creating more Splingo apps!

Won’t restore my purchases

I bought these all as individual apps a few years ago and I just bought a new iPad and transferred everything over; however, the new version is consolidated into 1 app but will not let me restore any of these apps that I’ve already purchased. What a rip off. Now, I have to contact Apple to see if there’s anything that they can do. There’s no way to contact the developers of these Splingo apps either.

We shared widely on social media and on our website a couple of years ago that in order for Splingo apps to be viable in the long term we would have to consolidate all the apps into one place and 'sunset' the old apps. The old apps would continue to work unless users deleted them or reset/changed their devices. There are lots of ways to contact us - Facebook, email or social media.
