PICTURE • HDR gives new films extra-bright highlights. See how much brighter your screen says it can go. • Patterns reveal cut-off edges, a crooked projector image or a dead pixel. • Fine lines and rich colours show if sharpness or colour gets lost on the way. MOTION AND LIP-SYNC • A TV can accept 120 Hz (images per second) yet receive 60. The app counts what reaches the screen. • Voices out of step with lips? Line up a flash and a click, then enter that delay in your TV, soundbar or AV receiver. HELP • Each test says in plain words what to watch or listen for. • A glossary, a wiring guide and a speaker placement guide. • Quick Check takes about two minutes. Guided Receiver Setup walks you through levels and distances. WHAT YOU GET The download includes Your Gear, which shows what your devices report. It also has the HDR, motion, colour and sharpness checks, and the speaker test in 5.1 and in your own setup. The Full Catalogue, one optional in-app purchase, adds every other test and the guided runs. Each is bought once for every platform Miso AV Lab runs on. No subscription, account, ads or data collection. ON EACH DEVICE • iPhone and iPad send patterns to your TV by cable or AirPlay, with the controls in your hand. • Mac tests a monitor or a second display. • Apple TV, wired to your TV and receiver, is the only one that can test Dolby Atmos on the speakers above you.
